Dice-k

Well Dice-k is warming up, playing toss with Yuk down the first base line. He looks calm and cool. It is 7:15pm and the Sox just took the field.

The flashes are going off like crazy. It’s amazing. I would love to be there but I think I’ll see more of the game from here.

Inning 1

Dice-K vs. Ichiro! Will Dice K be as good as Beckett. Breaking ball strike 1. Curve ball fouled off the count 0-2. It’s a full count. Nice, Ichro gets thrown out. The inning was a good first inning. 18 pitche, 11 for strikes.

The shift is on for Big Papi. And Big Papi hits into it. That was a quick first inning.

Inning 2

The first out was quick. But Guillian works the count and gets a long single. (He knew better than to challenge Manny’s throw). Johjima just hit a double. Good thing Manny kept Guillian to a single. *sigh* Guillian almost got taged out at home but he was barely safe. 1-0 Sea. Atleast we have two outs now. Now can the Sox score a run to tie it? 32 pitches, 20 for strikes. I know, it’s only the 2nd inning. It’s now 7:40pm.

Ok guys that way to work the count. Hernandez is up to 20 pitches 13 for strikes. Ok, I have Hernandez. He doesn’t suck. In fact he’s given me 7 points. Oh it’s soooo much fun to see my batters against my pitcher.

Inning 3
Ichiro is up again. Ichiro flies out. “Did you see that routine catch that CoCo made?”Did you see the catch that Coco made?

No, it didn’t look like that but it was better than Dice-k’s former team. Well another pop up to Lugo. And it’s a K for dice-K!!! 42 Pitches 26 for strikes. Looks like Matsuzaka is settling down.

The announcers were saying how the Japanese reporters were so intersted in all things Red Sox. This included what famous players had Dice-k’s locker before him and where was Babe Ruth’s locker. I actually believe that Dice-K pitching for the Sox is a lower pressure situation than he had in Japan.

V-Tek is 35 today! V-tek and Mike Lowell Well he stuck out his first at bat. He’ll do something next time …I hope. Dustin works a full count. wOOt Dustin Walks! It’s Lugo time!!! Maybe not….it’s 1- 0 Sea, 39 pitches24 for strikes. That’s what I call working the count.

Inning 4

Well, Dice-K is back. Ibanez works a full count…and strikes out. Strike out #2.

Anyways…..the elimination for American Idol is in an hour. So you have to bear with my game…oh wOOt Strike out #3. Guillian is up again. He’s 1 for 1 with a single. Hit by Pitch. He so reminds me of Pedro. That was a better inning. 58 pitches, 35 strikes

Youk Walks!! Go Big Papi!!!! Double play. *sigh* Let’s go Manny! 50 pitches, 29 for strikes. The Sox have been no hit though 4 innings.

Inning 5

Ichiro strike out #4!!! Well then. Lopez scores from first on a wall ball. Beltre is on 3d base. Vidro his a line drive and Beltre scores. 3-0, 73 pitches 43 for strikes.

Not a bad outing if the Sox’s bats can wake up. So far the Sox aren’t even working the count. Well now. Gee…I wonder how many points i have now. 14 thus far. Go me. Now it is up to V-Tek. Captain my captain.

O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart! 5
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Not yet. The Sox are hitless in Fenway. 62-37.

Inning 6 (it’s 30 mins. to American Idol)

“Let’s live for the wonder of it all! Foxwoods”

My catcher is on second base. Well this is an interesting development—no? But no harm done. 3-0 Sea. 89-57.

Let’s get it started! Let’s get it started in Fenway!! We can’t be no-hit at home. That’s just inconceivable.

Ok, it is a great time for a hit Coco! Well that’s 14 points for me. Still Hitless, 3-0 Sea, 71-42.

It’s the 7h Inning (15 mins to American Idol)

He got into a bit of trouble but excellent defense by Dice-K got him out of the inning with out further damage.  3-0 Sea, 103-64.

YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK.  Let’s go Red Sox.  So close…….Ok big Papi.  If there were any time for a home run, now is the time.  No time like right now?  Ok, later.   Manny!!!!  Manny!!! Manny come on and be MANNY!  Well then, still hitless.  85-51.

Well I am out of here.  I’ll check the score later.  Hopefully Dice-K will get a no decision.

I would like to say that the season really starts tomorrow but unfortunately it started today.

What is the deal with giving JD Drew #7???? That is unreal.

That was a disappointing game. *sigh*  I picked up Meche for the Redwings.

Well, I am thinking of using this as my blog about sox games.  Although I still like livejournal because of the easy at which I can add pictures.  What makes my during game blogging are the photos.  Of course I borrow heavily from dirt dogs.  Why re-invent the wheel?

An interesting side affect is that I post comments to Curt Schilling’s blog at 38studios.com  The only time I was uber critical of Curt Schilling was when he made comments about the 2004 election after the Sox won the world series.  That’s water under the bridge.

There is not much to post.  I’m still in Germany until Sunday.  I do have my parent’s sling box hooked up.  I did catch a spring training game but for some reason the show “I love New York” kept my attention.  I was hoping Bronson would have been pitching for the Reds but no deal.  Bronson might be a red through and through and that does make me blue.  Still I love seeing St. Bronson god of high kicking pitchers pitch.  I am so thrilled that he is in a place where he can be an ace.  :-)

In other news: I’m on this 70’s music kick.  Darn you Happy Feet with your cute penguins and catchy 1970’s dance music.  I have been playing the sound track nonstop since I bought it.
